Community guidelines and safety

The rules of the road.

Every member agrees to these. They exist so that every ride ends the same way: everyone home safe, already planning the next one.

01

Gear up, every time

Always wear a certified helmet (ISI-marked or equivalent), fastened properly, along with gloves, a riding jacket, full-length trousers and closed footwear. No gear, no ride.

02

Follow the law and the limit

Obey traffic laws, signals and speed limits. A group ride is never an excuse to skip a red light or exceed a limit.

03

Ride sober

Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs — before or during a ride. Riders who do will be asked to leave the ride and may lose membership.

04

Respect every rider

Regardless of gender, motorcycle brand, engine size or experience. Help newer riders; never mock a slower one.

05

Zero tolerance

No harassment, discrimination, stunting, racing or dangerous riding — and never pressure anyone to take a risk they are not comfortable with.

06

Keep your place in the group

Maintain safe distances in a staggered formation, follow the ride leader's instructions and the sweep rider's signals, and never overtake the leader.

07

Respect people and places

Ride quietly through villages, slow down near schools and markets, leave no litter, and follow every rule in forests, parks and protected areas.

08

Legal and roadworthy

Your motorcycle must be legally registered, insured and in good working order — tyres, brakes, lights and chain checked before every ride.

Taking part in a community ride does not replace your own responsibility for safety on the road.

Ride within your limits, make your own judgement about road and weather conditions, and leave a ride at any time if you feel unsafe. Ride leaders plan and guide; each rider remains responsible for their own riding, their motorcycle and their compliance with the law.

If something goes wrong

Stop safely, switch on hazard lights, and alert the ride leader or sweep rider. In an emergency call 112. Your emergency contact is reachable by the ride's organisers.

Breaking the guidelines

Depending on how serious it is, a breach can lead to a warning, removal from a ride, or the end of membership. Report concerns privately through the contact form.
