Bhojpur Temple
An unfinished 11th-century Shiva temple with one of the largest lingams in India — an easy morning ride.
Representative photo≈ 30 km from Bhopal
Attributed to Raja Bhoj, the Bhojpur temple is famous for its massive stone lingam and for the unfinished construction that still shows how it was built. It pairs well with Bhimbetka for a longer heritage loop.
Travel notes
Dress respectfully and leave riding boots where asked. Weekends and festivals can be crowded.
Road safety
